BREEDING FOR HEALTH
All Code of Ethics breeder members of the Eurasier Club of Canada are required to conduct and receive favourable test results, in addition to following other ethical principles, before breeding, as a means to produce sound, healthy dogs to help preserve the future of the Eurasier
REQUIRED PRE-BREEDING HEALTH TESTS:

Complete thyroid blood panel (every 2 years)

Hip Dysplasia x-ray

Patellar Luxation exam

Eye exam (CAER or specialist in ophthalmology preferred; minimal exam: entropion, ectropion and distichiasis

Dandy Walker-Like Malformation (DWLM) carrier
Additional recommended tests helpful for determining Eurasier genetic health:​

Elbow Dysplasia

Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) carrier

Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI)
